What’s the cost?

A:

Will the Reviewers edit my proposal?

A:

No, but you will receive substantial feedback in the form of comments.

   

Q:

Do I need to upload my proposal in a specific format such as MS Word?

A:

Either MS Word or PDF is our preference. Budgets can be in MS Excel or PDF.

   

Q:

How do I access my reviews?

A:

When your reviews are complete, you will receive an e-mail to log back into your account to retrieve your reviews.

   

Q:

How long do the reviews take to complete?

A:

Generally, 2-5 days depending upon the review service you requested.

   

Q:

Will my proposal be scored?

A:

This is included in our premium service.

   

Q:

Do you only review the narrative portion of my grant application?

A:

We can also review other parts of your application such as your budget,appendix materials, abstract, etc.

   

Q:

Will there be more than one reviewer?

A:

That depends on the type of review service you choose.

   

Q:

After I incorporate the feedback from the reviewer(s), can I have a second review?

A:

That will require a new review subscription.

   

Q:

How do I know the reviewers are competent to review my proposal?

A:

The reviewers are screened based on their experience and expertise in specific fields as well as their previous experience serving as a reviewer.

   

Q:

How do I know my proposal information will not be shared with anyone outside of your organization?

A:

Our privacy policy does not allow this. In addition, all reviewers must complete a conflict of interest statement as well as a non-disclosure statement assuring that they will not divulge the contents of the review beyond the purpose of the review, nor will they undertake a review in which they have an actual or potential conflict of interest.

   

Q:

If applicable, will you need a copy of the application guidelines (RFA, RFP, etc)?

A:

Yes. You may upload a copy when you upload your draft proposal or you may upload the url (website) where the guidelines can be found.

   

Q:

Does the reviewer make a recommendation for my proposal?

A:

The reviewer does not recommend whether your proposal should be funded or not. However, the reviewer will provide comments and feedback (and under our premium service will score your proposal) which should provide sufficient direction in terms of the quality of your proposal at the time of the review, and what revisions might be necessary to ensure the proposal is competitive when you formerly submit it for funding.

   

Q:

Can I submit questions to the reviewer's feedback?

A:

Yes, this is included within our premium service. You’ll have up to 2 days after your receive your reviews to submit up to five questions that will be responded to within 48 hours.

   

Q:

What does the Premium Service include that is not included in the Basic Service?

A:

Under the Premium Service, the reviewer, in addition to providing comments and feedback, will score the proposal against the funding agency’s review criteria. You will also have an opportunity to submit up to five questions in response to the review.

How long is the newsletter?

A:

Generally, about 8 pages.

Once I subscribe, how will I receive the newsletter?

A:

Via e-mail.

How often will I receive the newsletter?

A:

Monthly.

Do you include just government funding opportunities?

A:

No, we also include opportunities from the Private Sector.

   

Q:

Are your funding opportunities targeted toward a specific type of entity?

A:

No, we target non-profits, higher education institutions, faith-based institutions, public schools, and state government.

 

 

Q:

About how many opportunities might I see in a given newsletter?

A:

Approximately 20-30.

 

 

Q:

Once I subscribe, will I have the ability to view previous newsletters?

A:

Yes. They will be located in the newsletter archive.

 

 

Q:

Is there feedback section of the newsletter?

 

Yes.

 

 

Q:

Is there someone I can call if I don't receive my newsletter after I've paid for it?

A:

Yes. Please click on the “contact us” link on the home page of our website.

 

 

Q:

Will the newsletter provide links to other sites with grant information?

A:

Yes. There will be links provided to the funding opportunities as well as other links from time to time that will be included in some of the other sections of the newsletter.

 

Audio Training Workshops

 

Q:

How many people can participate under one subscription?

A:

As many people as you can reasonably fit into a conference room.

 

 

Q:

What is required in order to participate?

A:

Just a room with a speakerphone.

 

 

Q:

Will any training material be provided prior to or during the workshop?

A:

Yes, once you subscribe, you will receive via e-mail a powerpoint presentation prior to the conference.

 

 

Q:

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions during the workshop?

A:

Yes, at the end.

 

 

Q:

How long are these audio workshops?

A:

Generally an hour with about 15 – 30 minutes for questions at the end.
